Virology for kids: former Science Exchange user shares her thanks — and a book.

Hannah Margolis, NIH

Six years ago, researcher Hannah Margolis worked with a Science Exchange provider to detect sirtuin protein in yeast. She was sixteen years old.

Last week, we were thrilled to hear from Hannah again — (she is now a scientist at the United States NIH):

“Dear Science Exchange,

When I was back in high school I worked with your team to complete a science project that I didn’t have the equipment to do as I lived in rural Nevada.

I just graduated from college with degrees in biochemistry and global health. I wrote a children’s book on viruses for kids that was illustrated by a fellow classmate; we think the Science Exchange platform is a great place to share the book and our message.

We are all in this pandemic together, and by understanding the science behind disease, we can all help to fight it.

Please share the link to our book (free of charge) with scientists and their families around the world.

Thank you,

Hannah Margolis”

We congratulate Hannah on her informative and inclusive book, and will continue to share it widely!
