Since joining Science Exchange in 2017, Gabriel has been helping enterprise clients use the platform to maximize R&D productivity. Prior to Science Exchange, Gabriel established himself as an research scientist-turned-entrepreneur. Gabriel has 15 years of research experience including Human gene splicing, epigenetics, and neural stem cell biology at institutions including UPenn, The National Human Genome Research Institute, and The Broad Center at UC San Francisco. He completed his Ph.D. in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology at UC Santa Cruz. Gabriel has been committed to diversity and inclusion in science by teaching several courses at Native Hawaiian Community Colleges. In his spare time he volunteers as an HIV counselor for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
